Let's use another example:  Trump is a brilliant, rich businessman.  

I mean you've seen the photos, heard him talk about all his successes and money.

But there is a ton of proof that he's failed miserably over and over at businesses, filed for bankruptcy multiple times, been sued for lack of payment by contractors AND he BEGS for money from his cult like followers every...single...day to help pay for his "legal defense".  And there is no proof of his alleged wealth.  He "owns" some buildings and golf courses.  But he's inflated and deflated the values so much no one know the truth.

His true believers only need to hear the story that he's rich and nothing else is needed.

I think this is more akin to me saying that I'm a billionaire who owns golf courses and a casino, but I won't show them to you or tell you where they are because everyone knows I own them, do your research.

Or maybe it's more like when I told some kid in the neighborhood I had Super Mario 2 and he was like "I have Super Mario 6" and I was like "Is that real, I never heard of it because 2 just came out....can I play it?" and he was like "No."  So I mean...that kid might have had Super Mario 6, but I'll never truly know.

EDIT - Actually, it was Ninja Turtles for nintendo.  I said I played Ninja Turtles for nintendo and he said he had Ninja Turtles 6 for nintendo and when I kept pressing him to show me he finally brought out a copy of Ninja Turtles for nintendo and when I said "That's the same game I played, it's Ninja Turtles one." He said "No it's not, it's Ninja Turtles six." and that was that.

Am I the only one who grew up in a world of total bullshit and lies?
