Every fanbase has this impression. None of them are working with all the evidence. What SEEMS to be true is very often untrue. You don’t have all of the information, and you instinctively fill the gaps on your own. It’s typical cognitive bias on your part, and that’s not an insult. It’s human nature. But awareness may reduce the tendency.
