Does Hamlin's injury result in equipment changes?

I liked that the NFL starting penalizing when HITS were becoming more frequent rather than TACKLES. A lot of offensive players were getting injured (specially WR, then QBs). The NFL took a lot of heat by some calling it the no fun league, but I think it was the right move.
