Michael Mayer Falls To 26 In Latest PFF Mock!

I just see more value in getting a dynamic running back in round one than drafting a tight end (if we are going skill position).
He'd get the ball 20 times a game vs. a TE that would see maybe 5 catches on a good day, but more likely 2 or 3.

We drafted Sample in the 2nd to block and it hasn't panned out yet. TE takes time to develop too.

I haven't looked into the draft class but if there is similar value later in the draft I wouldn't spend an early pick on TE.
A blocking tight end in the 1st is a hard one for most fans to get behind.

I'd love to see a pass rusher, blocker, corner, or dynamic playmaker. It would move the needle more for a team looking to win it all this year.

I offer you:

Payne Durham Purdue
Josh Whyle UC
Luke Schoonernaker Michigan
