Not necessarily. If our law enforcement opened a lengthy investigation into every claim like that they would be even busier than they already are. Claims like this are assessed on credibility before an investigation is opened. In this instance the DOJ potentially already had information that the person making the claims was a Chinese spy dating back to the 2016 election. That causes the credibility assessment to be low which may result in a cursory glance and nothing more.
