Teachers Union Knows better than Parents what is good for their children????

But Republicans are not a problem only in red states. 

PA had a Republican governor from 2011-15 and he cut a billion dollars from the state ed. budget.

That is still wreaking havoc in our system, as it forced PA universities to down size and raise tuition,
pushing more students out of state for college or deciding not to go at all. Then as enrollments drop,
more funding is withdrawn in an erosive cycle. 

West Virginia is the worst educated state in the nation. Yes we are a red state now but that is a more recent development because of the legislation against fossil fuels. We were also not a Confederate state.


What makes the education system in WV bad has nothing to do with education. We do have nice schools my county and the 3 counties around us just rebuilt all of the high schools plus put in technical training schools and upgraded the local community college for the high school kids to take advantage of the higher learning quicker... We spend what money we do get well. 

The issue is the teachers cannot afford to work in our schools because of healthcare. WVU is cutting money because they cant afford the healthcare for their teachers...
