Lets face it Greene still has a lot to prove, in my opinion anyways. I'll be honest and say I was pretty shocked when they gave him Votto's old contract with so small a resume, ALREADY.

He hasn't really done much! Other than have a good bit of K's. 

I think Larkin hit the nail on the head the other night. It's not Greene's velocity, it's his placement of both fastballs and his offspeed stuff. He's grooving fastballs belt high and middle of the plate/out. ML hitters can paste that pitch even at 100. He has to get it a bit further out and/or a bit further up.

And he has to get better placement and break on his offspeed stuff. I'm not trying to bash the guy. I still think he can turn into a dominant starter. He is just 24. I'm hoping anyways.

I am on record as not liking the contract when it was announced. We gave up a lot of money for only a little bit extra control to a guy with 1 season's worth of experience who has struggled mightily at times.

Hopefully, he actually starts to convert all his "potential" into production soon.
