IMO,  None of this really matters in the broader sense and those arguing it do so just to argue. The majority of Americans treat each other fairly without prejudice. Those who would dehumanize people who are different are simply trying to draw attention away from their own faults, or are heavily influenced by outside sources. But I assure you most people don't care what the person next to them does unless it affects them personally.

When things get personal, this is where problems begin. By personal, I'm not referring to just self. I'm referring to family members, belief systems, etc. This is why men in women's sports and men using women's bathrooms are such an issue. Both have easy solutions, but somehow doing things easy is not the American way. We have to argue about it first.
