Immigration rose dramatically during the 01135809 administration...until Covid.  The rose again, by a smaller percentage, under Biden...but still not to the previous levels (as of Sept, 2021).



Understanding that there is more to immigration (legal and illegal) than who is in the oval office, we have not seen a huge increase in it despite cries that "the left" wants open borders. 

According to the Pew Research Center, here are the numbers for Obama, Trump, then Biden.

2018: 600,000
2019: 851,000
2020: 400,000
2021: 1.73M
2022: 2.37M

The man in charge has more power than you say he does, and denying that is just a cop out. It’s a problem, if it weren’t, the mayor of NYC wouldn’t be saying they’ll be the death of NYC, and Martha’s Vineyard wouldn’t have called the national guard to deport a mere 50 that they couldn’t handle. We gotta reach across the aisles and agree on reality at some point.
