Point is: Maybe, just maybe, hometown fans are being a little critical (especially salty after a close loss).

Everytime AJ makes a mistake, there is a population that says "Look, told you he wasn't elite."

The guy caught more passes in the first 3 years of his career than any player in history.

He was the first rookie WR to get selected to the Pro Bowl since 2003

He has never had fewer than 1,000 yards, 65 catches, and 6 TDS any year in his career

He has some of the best hands of any of the similar type WRs

But you guys are probably right: dude is not elite, just very good and popular.
