After the Rodney King episode, the riots in LA led to blacks looting Korean owned shops because they felt they as patrons were poorly treated.
Blacks in Cleveland killing Arab store owners for the same reason.

Our problems have a lot to do with 60 years of integration. It was bad enough we segregated blacks, but we compounded the problem by integrating them instead of assimilating. This is exactly why some blacks still feel segregated to an extent. And we have made the same error with immigrants.
You are correct that the japs have only allowed a limited amount. Nothing wrong with accepting less. Less guarantees assimilation.
