I agreed about him being a rookie and that Bates was not Bates as a rookie either. I mentioned his instincts may make up for his lack of speed. But our safety play hasn’t been as good. It’s a major discussion is it not? Not that we shouldn’t have expected it. I remember arguing with Nate there’d be a drop off but he had full faith in Lou. But in fairness to Nate he’s always seeing the best in everybody except Joe Mixon lol.
