Ah. Maybe I was thinking of the 2018 shoulder injury with Buffalo during the preseason that was initially reported as a collarbone fracture, but after a 2nd opinion, he was able to keep playing.

Either way, we shouldn't assume Browning will be just like McCarron if he leaves.

If he's not a Bengal next year, it's likely because someone traded for him. In that case, that team will likely have some belief in him.

Also, for as bad as things went for McCarron after he left, he did sign a 2 year, $10 million dollar deal with Buffalo, which was bigger than what he would've gotten if he'd never tried.

These guys only have so many years.
The training, nutrition, medicine, fitness, playbooks and rules evolve. The athlete does not.
