Biden and Trump at the border

Jeh Johnson has been candid stating if they had 1000 border crossings a day, President Obama considered it a crisis. There was a reason Obama's numbers got better over time, he took steps to deter and stop illegal immigrants from coming to the border to seek asylum.

You suggest I use Fox narratives, I do at times, but feel free to show me where I am wrong in my posts versus attacking me or Fox News. No news organization is correct 100% of the time, but I would argue based solely on viewership ratings, Fox is trusted a lot more than CNN and MSNBC combined. People don't tune into a news station they think is full of crap. I have stated on here many times, I was an avid CNN viewer for many years including 911. There just came a time I felt they stopped being journalists and I gradually switched to Fox. I voted for Obama in 2008, I thought McCain was too old and we need someone to help us with hope and change, a young leader, Articulent speaker. But by 2012 I had had enough of Obama, he did some good things and was a decent POTUS, I just thought his promises like uniting the country were not fulfilled.

Simple questions I asked you to answer, you chose to not answer and debate. I think it is obvious why, no one can look at sheer numbers and say our border security started leaking buckets of water once Biden ended Trump's policies. I find it amazing that anyone is willing to defend anyone for open borders. It is crazy. Do we leave our doors and windows open all day, so anyone is free to enter our home? Do we leave our keys in the car so someone can take it for a spin any time they choose. I think most would agree no way, yet we allow illegal immigrants, most unvetted to take a spin around the US for years while taxpayers at the city and federal level pay them to do it.

Crime is down...even in the cities where Texas sent immigrants.  I posted that from a non-Fox news source.

Encounters are up.  So are people being caught crossing with drugs.  The good thing is were catching more.  Maybe it's because more got though unnoticed during past administrations?

I posted all the policies in place and how Biden's administration now has a deal with Venezuela to return immigrants that they didn't have before.

I also shared an article explaining how the immigrants are coming from different places now and why.

But Biden bad, P01135809 god.  I get it. That's why "debate" with you is difficult. You willfully ignore everything that isn't your narrative.

No one has said border crossings aren't up or that it isn't creating problems. Several of us have pointed out what has been done now and in the past and that P01135809 has no plans other than "shut it down" which won't work because they won't give the money to hire the agents it would take to even attempt to do so.

Oh, wait. He's going to have local police do it.

Quote:Former President Trump will use local police to implement his plan for the mass deportation of undocumented migrants if he's elected, the Republican primary frontrunner said during an interview on Fox News Thursday.

The big picture: Trump, who visited the U.S.-Mexico border on the same day as President Biden Thursday, has vowed to launch the "largest deportation operation in American history" if he's elected president for a second term in November.

What he's saying: "We have to deport a lot of people, and they have to start immediately," Trump said during his interview in Eagle Pass, Texas, on Fox News' "Hannity."

Trump told Fox News host Sean Hannity that he would give "immunity" to police "to give the job they have to do" and said the officers understand who the migrants are.
"It's going to be the local police are going to turn them over, and we're going to have to move them back to their country," he added.

What we're watching: A judge on Thursday temporarily paused a Texas law that would allow local authorities and judges to arrest and deport immigrants they suspected of crossing the border into the U.S. without legal authorization, which was due to take effect on March 5.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has vowed to appeal the ruling in favor of the Justice Department and civil rights groups, which argued in their lawsuit that the legalization was unconstitutional and could lead to racial profiling.

State of play: Biden used his second U.S.-Mexico border visit as president, in Brownsville, Texas, to call on Trump to "join" him in working on passing the toughest immigration law in decades.

Trump said during his visit to Eagle Pass that Biden has the "blood of countless innocent victims" on his hands as he claimed the U.S. was being "overrun by the Biden migrant crime" — despite studies showing immigrants are less likely to commit crimes than other U.S. residents.

Zoom out: Polls suggest Americans consider immigration to be the most important issue in the U.S.

Biden was elected president after campaigning on ending Trump-era border policies, but since then there's been a global humanitarian crisis that's resulted in tens of millions of people being forcibly displaced.

The president has since hardened his immigration policy and is considering signing an executive order that would restrict the ability of migrants to claim asylum.

Trump is again taking a hardline approach to the issue, as he did during his 2016 election campaign.

We're headed back to a "show me your papers" policy. Yay?
