Just wanted to point out that your example for discussion actually makes the Dems look worse. If they hadn't enabled organized retail theft to operate with near impunity on a large scale then there wouldn't be people in a position to be a "queen pin" over an organization dedicated towards committing the crime. Another Dem self own.
