Your person A and B references don't even come close to anything I said.
You said don't hate the player, hate the game which indicates (as far as I can tell) that you are saying that it's ok to push your losses off on taxpayers as long as you belong to a class that is allowed to do so. Maybe I'm missing things here, but that's how I see this situation.
Don't hate the player, hate the game isn't a sort of statement that is usually used to defend someone who is doing things the honest way.
