One is a letter carrier with the USPS and the other is rising through the chain as a material handler transitioning to purchasing. Both work overtime most every week, miser their money much better than I, and I couldn't be more proud of them. Our daughter is the idealistic one, thankfully she married a young man who went into the USMC and expanded his already broad technical knowledge to become an aviation electronics specialist. He'll make more money than any of us in the immediate family, provided he lands a job with the airlines when he completes his enlistment. So that's two later Millennials and one Gen Z, all with killer work ethics and sound moral values.

I'm not sure where all of these lazy Tic-Toc wanna be rock stars came from, but somehow we still put work ethic and character into our kids, and their doing fantastic.

Don't give me too much credit.  I'm willing to pay more for stuff if it means we as a country have more social freedom and can possibly leave a more usable planet for future generations.  Consider me paying more for energy and groceries my version of storming the beaches of Normandy, or something.  No great sacrifice for what I have faith to be the common good.

As for tik tok famous, well I can't blame young people for dabbling in that with a hopes of getting some money and attention.  I figure it's that generation's version of people our age buying electric guitars and wasting a lot of time trying to impress the ladies.  They'll get over it and start slaving away...we all did.
