Thank God. That man needs to re-find his out pitch. He got eviscerated in that opening inning. I don't know what happened since May 1st, when he last had a quality start, but he has not lasted long in games or prevented runs in his last 6 starts:
3.2 IP, 4 ER
4.2 IP, 3 ER
5.1 IP, 5 ER
5.0 IP, 3 ER
4.0 IP, 3 ER
5.0 IP, 3 ER

Over those starts, his ERA was 6.83 with a WHIP of 1.77.

Even during his struggles last season, he was at least lasting longer in games. 15 of his 26 starts last season were 6.0 IP or longer. In 2024, he's only made it 6 innings 3 times out of 12 starts.

I hope he figures out what's going on in the minors. Otherwise, I think moving to the bullpen is inevitable.
