I also wonder how many black families got "broken up" by the occasional lynching of someone who got "uppity" or was accused of looking at a white woman.  Or was just being black somewhere.

Nonetheless there is no "lie" in that he said what he said.  Although with the defense of "he didn't mean what he said" I guess he fits right in with Trump as far has his supporters go so maybe he's a shoe-in.
