I think this is more your opinion than how our FO and Zak consider Lou.

It would be dumb to not want a great defense to get the ball back to offense quicker and hold onto leads in my humble opinion.

My guess is Lou wants his defense to be great every year, not just mediocre. Mediocrity gets you fired.
