The problem is that Trump is probably the least suited person to unite. He is extremely hyperbolic, tells a thousand lies a day, and while it's true that he gets villified he himself is the master of villification. Whoever does not agree with him is evil, an enemy of the country, a criminal or dumb as a rock. His whole schtick is division and creating disdain, that is not a uniter. Most other conservatives would probably be more apt for that role.
