Fred didn't (directly) address Lucie's position nor did he offer a distorted view of it. He provided a quote from Lucie's link that 1) highlighted that they have not been able to establish that these criminals are immigrants and 2) suggested that since a person who was anti-immigrant stabbed a pro-immigration politician, anti-immigrant people must be dangerous criminals. 

While not relevant to the topic, it was an attempt to point out the ridiculous logic Lucie uses when he makes sweeping generalities of Muslims. 

So that was a "good" retort?

Just trying to get along. It just seemed that was a distorted (misleading) fact to discount what the OP was asserting.

Eventually I'll get it right. 

For instance there is a current thread about Bernie wanting to break up big banks. If I were to say Bernie blames big banks for Global Warming. What would that be (besides absolutely hilarious)?
