Byner's fumble worse than Hill's?

After the Hill fumble we were still in great shape to win the game.  I don't know a single person who automatically assumed we would lose after that fumble.  Roethlisberger was crippled and the Steelers were on their own 9 yard line with just a little over a minute to play.
The trouble was we defended him like he was not.  That to me was the single biggest failure of the game.
