I was going to post about this, myself. I can understand the move, it was a tight election and it should definitely be the decision of the people and so making sure it is done right is best.
I just hope the people of Austria come to their senses a bit. I mean, the party of the far-right candidate was founded by Nazi's that escaped prosecution, plus he has been seen wearing a blue cornflower on his lapel, a symbol used by Nazis to covertly signal to each other their affiliations. The position is not a powerful one, but the symbolism of someone coming from that background taking that spot is more than a little frightening.
