Well, that is part of it.  The biggest part of the damage occurred from a fall, carrying equipment up a slippery hill.  Continuing to train and compete definitely hastened the deterioration. 

But yes, I am excited to rehab and get back to doing what I enjoy.  I qualified for Nationals in my sport, this year.  Definitely feel like I've got a few goals left to achieve.
