It's only condescending because the person writing the article wants it to be. The author goes on to criticize Trump for not spouting scriptures in all of his speeches, how condescending of the author. Perhaps Trump is a man of faith, but likes to keep it between himself and God, as instructed by Mathew 6:5-6?
