It truly is an idiotic rule. There was an article in ESPN where they interviewed several equipment managers for college teams that handle multiple helmets i.e. Oregon with like 5, and they all pretty much stated that the rule was unnecessary and as long as the helmet fits properly, would have no increase risk of injury. NFL just made up some random rule to appease the concussion alarmists. The only problem that was identified with using multiple helmets was.........where to store them all.
