Guys Marvin Isn't Going Anywhere
#14

Lost 10 straight games in 2010, and was 2 years removed from another 4 win season. If he got an extension after that, imagine what he's going to get after 5 straight playoff appearances. Dude has a lifetime contract. The 1 year deals are probably to dupe the public into thinking there's some kind of "pressure" on Marvin, but it's obvious there is no such thing.

No accountability for the GM, no accountability for the HC, no accountability for position coaches (Sir Elton isn't going anywhere, even after this debacle), etc. That's the #1 problem with this franchise. There's never any accountability anywhere. Teams like the Pats and Steelers expect excellence, the Bengals (Mike Brown) expect to be "competitive...sometimes, and if not that's ok too".

Absolutely this. What in the heck has the Bengals organisation ever done to suggest Marv is going anywhere until he quits himself? It just isn't happening, they love this man and are besotted by him for whatever reason. Maybe Stockholm Syndrome, I can't think of anything else.
