It'll be interesting to see if Tea Party types and fiscal conservatives will oppose him if his spending gets out of control. They seem to really worry about taxing and borrowing, so if they have any integrity, they'll be ready to fight. Doubt it though. Reps had little problem with GW Bush's spending when he was in office.
