Lack of Mental Toughness

I believe he is one of the most mentally tough guys we have on the whole team.  I understand him being out of shape and the concerns that elicits but when it's crunch time he is one of the few that can step up and make a difference.  That's a sign of a mentally tough player.  On Monday night he was the only guy out there on D with fire and intenstiy it seemed.

Burfict is amazing at football when it's all puppy toes and rainbows but between his weight and his chance of being suspended at any moment it'd be nice if we just dropped him down a peg. We need a real leader. When Burfict faced adversity this off-season after the WC meltdown he did not respond like a leader he showed up to work out of shape after getting in Twitter fights during the off-season. I would keep him around and give him a chance because we all know how good he can be but we can't go into next season relying on Burfict to help turnaround the defense. It's too much of a chance the leash needs to get tighter.
