I made it my "job" to get out of the rut. I've never drawn unemployment, never been on food stamps, etc. But I did have a computer and internet and it helped me get a great job when I didn't have a car. It has helped me in so many ways. It happens to other people. People have to have resources. And just because it makes it easier, doesn't mean it won't be put to good use. Like I said, I would love to weed out the freeloaders. I agree with y'all on that. Everyone's situation is different.

Put it this way, I wonder how many people had a great job working for say, a huge phone company, only years later to lose their job because of the lack of people getting phones. I mean, just 20 years ago, we all thought that phone companies would always be huge!

A lot of people on welfare and food stamps are veterans. I mean A LOT. One thing we can agree on, is the Repubs and the Dems need to do more for those that served for our country. I actually have a great story about some conservative beeeyotch getting onto a young girl with a baby using food stamps.......man.......that conservative witch left the grocery in a hurry. Left her $400 worth of food in her cart. Tongue   I will tell the story when I have time. ThumbsUp

Everyone has been on hard times. I had to use the library computer/internet for almost a month once. I was job hunting after I lost almost everything. So I know what it's like to struggle.

I also know that if your down for more than a year your doing something wrong. And no amount of benefit checks will help.
