Interesting interview with Guenther.

Really good interview I thought.   I was starting to question his quality in the beginning of last season, but he pulled things out nicely in the 2nd half.  I think I underestimated the transition with the new coaches and it was clear that there were problems with the safety package for much of the year.

He seems to have a handle on what's going on and what needs to happen.   I was psyched that he was talking to Tez during the Championship game and comparing notes on players they were interested in.   I like it that he does not have an "us/them" attitude regarding the relationship between coaching staff and players.   He has more of a Belichick mentality towards his key players.

And I was VERY excited about his comments about Billings, "when he got into the pads in training camp, it was ‘Whoa…this guy…’".   I got the feeling from the press that Billings was not all that impressive in camp, but Pauli clearly thought differently.

Encouraging about Pauli and players both.
