Yes there is racism in the book and movie.  But our past is our past.  We can't ban books and pretend it didn't happen.

Pointing out the racism in the book and movie and suggesting we shouldn't revere it as it has been for that reason is not book burning or calling for a ban.

It is discussing how history was portrayed and how we look back from almost 80 years later and realize it was a bad time.
