Yes there is racism in the book and movie.  But our past is our past.  We can't ban books and pretend it didn't happen.

Ha....you have shown that a single (one) movie critic thinks that the MOVIE "gone with the wind" should be banned.  Your second link has more to do with educational standards and what children should be taught.  It says nothing about these books being "banned for being offensive" but rather being "replaced with something of more educational value".
