This is horrible, and this is off-topic, but I was just thinking: wouldn't the entire thing be easier if they could put her on some sort of drug or even under anesthesia that made her forget the whole process or not be awake while it's happening?

I hear that the entire process is devastating to most, and it couldn't take away the memory of the act that caused the pregnancy, but I have to imagine that the memory of the actual abortion would scar her for life.
