I will admit that I am curious as to what the long term effects will be from our increases in medical science making it so people who normally would have died from illnesses (cancer, diabetes, bad asthma, heart defects, etc) are now alive and reproducing, spreading those genes.

I mean, where in the hell did gluten allergies pop up from? Or peanut allergies for that matter.

Just would be interesting to have a window to the future to see what the end results of all that would be.
