I don't think it helps our teams confidence much either when you don't go all out. This worked well when Dalton was a rookie and younger player but he has been pretty good at not giving up a lot of turnovers the last few years. If he can put up 5 or 10 more touchdowns a year and 2 more interceptions then let him. It would go a long way to building trust between a QB and head coach. This aspect I think goes right over Marvin head because he is not a offensive minded coach but a defensive minded coach.
