Keep in mind this was still back when there was only 5 QBs who threw for 4,000+ yards in 2006. Out of QBs who threw at least 320 attempts (so only 20/gm) Palmer was 4th in QB Rating in 2006.
What messed up Palmer was the '08 season, where he had the broken nose and then the elbow injury. The broken nose messed up his mind, and the elbow messed up his ability.
Thanks for the reminder. I had forgotten that we did actually have an offense in 06 and 07. Chuck's defense was so horrible and all of the losses made me forget Carson was still posting stellar numbers.
