They shouldn't be afraid. Ofc medical associations shouldn't be bullied into making medical decisions because of social and political pressures either.
Those people need help and instead of focusing on helping them through their problems we are trying to force everyone else to give them a wide berth so they can not feel uncomfortable.
We don't do this with any other mental disorder. It's irresponsible.
