Quote:Donald Trump has a decisive lead over GOP presidential candidates in the great state of North Carolina, a Public Policy Polling study has found. According to the poll, Trump is leading the rest of the Republican field at 24%, followed by 14% for Ben Carson, 13% for Jeb Bush, and 10% for Ted Cruz.

But there is a surprise candidate making a charge in North Carolina who did not participate in the first GOP debate.

Finally another declared independent candidate, Deez Nuts, polls at 9% in North Carolina to go along with his 8% in Minnesota and 7% in Iowa in our recent polling. Trump leads Clinton 40/38 when he’s in the mix.


Yes, Deez Nuts has risen above his BOFA violation to make an August push. Election experts and analysts believe Nuts’ campaign would benefit significantly by naming his vice presidential running mate early. Seymour Butts seems like the most obvious selection.

Mr. Nuts has filed the necessary paperwork with the Federal Election Commission, along with 535 other presidential hopefuls. He’s based in Iowa and is listed as an independent.
