Actually what I have always said is that there is a small percentage of rubes that will love Trump, but there will never be enough support for him to get the nomination.
I never thought "talking about policy" would make any difference because the rubes loved trump even when his policy suggestions were insane.
The people that love Trump are the ones who care more about being told what they want to hear than reality.
