Yes it is. False equivalencies used as rhetorical points to score points for the own team rather then having a fair evaluation. Which is something both sides do also, but I agree it's not balancing out. One side goes to way greater lengths.

And it's really sad because I cannot fight the feeling that people betray and suppress their own intelligence with that.
