Target removes gender based signage for kids

Autism, cancer, and freckles are learned behaviors.

You realize that this is a very stupid argument because we haven't identified the "gene" for a number of things, right? We also haven't figured out how many of them work either.

We know there's a gene that causes red hair and freckles, but some people only have the hair or freckles and some have freckles without the gene.

We know that families often have the same risk for a type of cancer, but we haven't figured out the genetic cause for all of them.

We know that autism is most likely genetic, and there are many candidates for a cause, but we don't know what gene (or genes) to blame.

We'll discover more of these now that it is easier to store more data and cheaper to run these tests, but you're confused if you believe that every trait about us has its own gene that regulates it. Some things have many genes. Some genes control many things. Sometimes the presence of more than one gene or a less effective copy of that gene makes  a difference. Even within the genes, different alleles play a role.
