Mike Brown doesn't seem to care for the optional add-ons that go with running an NFL team, and when we does go with one he finds a way to make sure a family member or friend is in the position forever.

What do NFL teams not technically have to have?

indoor practice failities
scouting department
a myriad of things behind the scenes players have pointed out

and I'm sure there are more.  I once joked that if the draft were somehow optional Mike Brown would forgo it and tell us all how signing guys who aren't drafted is better because they're all mad and hungry and want to get revenge on all the teams who passed them over.
