Trump attacks protections for immigrants from ‘s***hole’ countries

As for the s-hole comments ....   people from the third world are going to have a tougher time to make it here but that doesn’t mean a European would be a better immigrant.    Which is why we need the point system.   In a vacuum. The European would do better because the change in lifestyle isn’t that much.    But it’s all subjective which means we need the point system .

Again, the appalling thing about Trump's comments is not the alleged plan behind them you laid out. Nothing appalling about that plan of course. 

Of course, usually the US is more attractive to people from poorer countries. For western Europeans, not that much. Sure there are people who would be willing to move to the US here as well, but European countries offer a fine surrounding to live in too. A person already scoring points in regards of merit are less likely to leave for America when from a rich country.

Trump argues we don't need people from shithole countries though. I have a really hard time to spin these comments as not being inherently racist ones.
