I didn't realize those skills were a pre requisition .... actually I am not surprised.  

I don't understand why people believe those skills translate well into civilian law enforcement. That's rhetorical BTW and I'm not too comfortable with it.

Armored vehicles by themselves is one thing, but add in the rest of militarizations and sprinkle in a lil NDAA, Patriot Act type stuff and you can see plainly something is awry.
