Not saying you are right or wrong on your position that they would go NT there, but the first tweet states that it is a "very unofficial" count, i.e. the Bengals easily could have been there.

But if they weren't, wouldn't the second tweet give more credence to that interest, i.e. not being there because the target is not participating?

Not necessarily. Vea wasn’t able to participate in drills but should have been available for interviews. Unless it was hidden at the Combine, Bengals didn’t meet with Vea there.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but haven’t the Bengals met with their first round draft pick(s) either at the Combine or their Pro Day?

I’ll just be really surprised to see the Bengals go completely out of character to draft a NT at 12, especially after picking up Baker.

Time will tell.
