Well, I think of K. as Trump's Kissinger. Shuttle diplomacy seems to be his job. Or maybe it's like JFK and Bobby, since you mention nepotism.

As far as the Qatar news goes, Qatar's refusal to provide Mueller info (that is true) because they don't want to risk disfavor with an erratic White House is just another way that unclarity in foreign policy works against the national interest.
