The share of black voters in 2012 was 13% versus 12% in 2016. Black voters went 92% to Obama and 89% to Hillary. In 2008 they made up the same share (13%) and voted 95% in favor of Obama.
You can make the argument that some people voted for Obama based on race at first, but you can't make the same about Hillary and gender.
Without a doubt obama got the uninformed black people voting, which was a good thing they finally participated. I wished he did more to encourage them to make a culture change instead of just allowing them to continue to play the victim card.
Hillary was just a terrible candidate. Her only shot of winning was vs McCain after the country hated bush. Still, then she may have even lost to him.
Dems have a real bench problem. You can’t win a general being extreme. Dems like Harris, booker, Pocahontas all come off cartoonish. Bernie as well but he is sort in that weird trump space. His problem is that he is a pure socialist.
