I find this fact a bit interesting.  The US government generally has a budget surplus for the month of April each year, due to all of the taxes collected.  This year, after the tax cuts were implemented, the amount of April surplus was 17% higher than in 2017.  So, just to restate, lower taxes = more money collected.  How does that happen?
